If you want to stand out, red is your best color.  Red is fierce.  Red is sassy.  Red means business, and you my dear own it.  Whether you’re taking engagement pictures or attending a wedding, this dress from is a MUST-HAVE. Not only is it stunning, but it’s also unbelievably priced. This eye-popping dress is only $56… and it’s worth every penny.

Red Dress

This dress is perfect for anyone that wants to wear something flattering, but doesn’t want any attention to be brought to their stomach. I have never received more compliments then I did at the wedding I was attending with my handsome hubs. The only flaw of this dress is how difficult it is to get into! Admittedly, that could be considered more of a user error than a dress flaw.

If you’re wondering about the bra-situation, I have a recommendation! After trying expensive “sticky-boobs” from Victoria Secret, I found an inexpensive option that worked much better from a boutique in Charlotte called Bevello. I literally just ordered my 10th pair today. I wear them at least two times a week and (if you take care of them) they last for about three months.

Jewelry & Shoes

I went for the statement necklace with the dress and more simple earrings. I probably wear this Baublebar necklace too much (proof is in the Instagram), but it’s one of my favorites.  My other go-to is the simple Kendra Scott, which I wear at least once a week. The earrings are the classic Kate Spade look; simple, but perfect with the blingy necklace. I usually go for flats when I attend weddings, so I wore my Jack Rogers. If you haven’t worn jacks before, know that it takes a few wears to break them in.

Red LipstickWhen you’re wearing a solid dress, you want to make sure your lipstick matches exactly. I highly recommend the Marc Jacobs lipstick: Goddess 202 – deep maraschino. This red lipstick is amazing. It not only matches this dress, but it makes less of a mess on wine glasses and your date! I also have to mention my liquid eyeliner from Sephora. Easy to apply, hard to wash-off and super cheap… three of my must-needs when it comes to eyeliner.

My Date

If you’re looking at my hot husband and wondering what he is wearing, I don’t blame you! He took this blue BOSS suit and made it look goooood! He wore a simple shirt from Banana Republic, which still looked great even when the jacket came off. The fitted “Grant” style shirts at Banana look the best. He wore a brown belt and leather Cole Haan shoes to complete his look. Your date doesn’t need to wear red to make this look work, but it does help if you’re married to a red head!

Lady in Red

I would highly recommend this look for weddings and engagement pictures. The red dress from Lulus is not only affordable, but will also be one of the most picture-worthy dresses in your closet. If you’re looking for more engagement picture inspiration, check out this Vishionary idea.
