When it comes to the holidays, my children live for Halloween! They love everything about it, the colors, the spooky decorations, and of course the candy. Me, I’m more of a buy a few pumpkins that will be able to last us from September till Christmas. I’m not into spooky decor or bats or bright orange pumpkins all over the house. I think it’s much more practical to find decor and colors that you can use for Halloween and Thanksgiving. And if this speaks to you too, keep reading because I’ve picked my favorite fall colors, tricks, and pieces to decorate with this year.
Mix Fresh with Fake
This year we picked out halloween decorations that were cute, like the Trader Joe’s pumpkins we picked up for $3.99 each. They came in all different colors and neutral flow with my Fall decor that will last all the way until Thanksgiving! But mixing these pumpkins along a mantle with a few candle or ceramic pumpkins gives it a fun textured look.
Swap out old frames and place frames with fall colors like rust orange and faded green.
Throw together some cozy pillows and throws for family movie nights and snuggle fest near a warm fire. Place them around the living room and even on the chairs of your dining room to bring all the fall colors together.
I’ve rounded up my top shop-able picks below so you can have these items in your house before the holiday season is over.
