Color of the Week in Decor: Olive Green

CW0904345

We are working with Color Solutions International to highlight trending colors designers are using to guide the next fashion trends. Vishion’s color of the week could be described as Olive Green, a greenish brown found commonly in nature. Professionals use CW0904353 to identify and communicate this color selection to their partners.

I used the Vishion application to find chairs in this shade, as well as the different looks that can be created from this dynamic, nature-inspired color.

Vishion Decor Finds

The Vishion Prototype produced an array of results that made it tough to pick my top four chairs in the green shade. No matter your taste, there were results in modern or traditional styles that allow shoppers of all ages with varying preferences to mix this relaxing tone into their existing decor.

Look 1: Left-Arm Chaise

This chair screams glamour to me. When I saw the Complete the Look product suggestions, I may have gotten overly obsessed. The rug, in particular, has the hints of green laced in its patterns. The whole combination would look amazing in a brilliant white room, with the credenza holding the necessary amount of wine to get through the weekend.

Look 2: Olive Green Armchair

The tufted arm chair we will next examine originally gave me a “therapist’s office” vibe. But when I saw the Complete the Look matches offered, I got more of a modern Cape Cod house. I’d love to have a martini and read a good book with an ocean view right about now.

Look 3: Canvas Arm Chair

The combinations that go with this chair are unlimited because of it’s simplicity. It’s not meant to be the focal point of the room whatsoever. So when I was presented with a funky wallpaper as an option to go with this chair, I definitely perked up. While the chair is bachelor-pad chic, some fun accents make it work for me. Honestly, throw a llama in any look and it’ll probably be my favorite.

Look 4: Velvet Tufted Chair

Does anyone else see Mad Men when they see this chair? The sharp edges throw me back to a modern day Don Draper’s office. This is one of those looks that I know I would love to see in person, but don’t think I’d have the confidence to do it myself.
