To say my Saturday did not go as planned is an understatement. Exactly why a Sunday morning pick-me-up was necessary. The Famous Toastery did the trick for my friend and I after a frustrating night spent in traffic. And too much money spent on Uber rides.
Decor & Design
The wood floors and rustic tones create a comforting atmosphere to enjoy time with family or friends. A place that feels like home, no matter which Famous Toastery location you attend. The golden walls mixed with dark paneling and attentive servers leaves you feeling toasty. It is a cozy spot that brightens up any morning with decorative pops of yellow. Give your kitchen space the same feel with these wooden pieces.
I am not a huge foodie, but I appreciate breakfast food. Or brunch food. Sleeping in is my style and brunch is a meal designed for waking up late. No matter what you choose to order at Toast — you need to get a side of potatoes. The spices please the taste buds in each delectable bite.
A bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is usually a go-to. Combining a few of my favorite things into one makes for a convenient and satisfying breakfast/brunch.
A characteristic that makes for a great restaurant is multiple free servings of bread before the meal. So, visit on the weekend if you want cornbread. And by this statement, I am telling you that you want the cornbread. The wait for a table will most likely be a bit longer, but I promise seeing that fresh basket in front of you makes it all worthwhile.
At Toast, “every server is your server”. This means that any member of the wait staff could be a significant part of your dining experience. The work load is spread around. One guy may take the drink order and another girl may take the food order. In my case, our first server tells me she makes a good drink. I contemplate buying an alcoholic beverage for a moment, but she convinces me within seconds. I choose a citrus-free, fancy mimosa composed of champagne, pineapple juice, and a splash of grenadine. Makes for a pretty picture, huh? And perfectly acceptable for brunch time. Match my mimosa with these decorative yellow picks for the kitchen below.
I look forward to another Sunday brunching at the Toastery soon!
